Camera-Getting the most out of your camera

With camera prices dropping, the Digital Camera has become more affordable for aspiring photographers. It has buttons and menus which not only allow technical control but creative control. This class is for students that want to take good pictures and not get bog down with all the technobabble. Class will include discussion and demonstration on how to control the settings of the camera. To get the most from this class bring your camera with a fully charged battery, a memory card and the manual.

Digital Pictures-Editing & Organizing

You have an understanding of your digital camera and you are ready to take the next step. This course is ideal for the entry - level user or hobbyist who wants to learn the basic of editing and retouching. Discussion of various software package (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc). Various projects will include eliminating unwanted elements, using layers, color correction, saving for print and web, resizing and much more.

Dog Obedience: Advanced

This class supports dogs and their owners who want to take their training to the next level.  

-Immunization records required.  Carolyn recommends signing up for the Beginner class if you aren't sure.  She will evaluate that class and advance the dog to the next level if it is appropriate.

Do you have a puppy or dog that is sometimes a little naughty?  Perhaps they just haven't learned yet.  This class is just what you need.   Carolyn is a master teacher helping the handlers learn how to manage their pet and in turn helping the pet behave in a way acceptable to it's owner. 

-A leash and immunization records are required.

Lightroom/Photoshop is one of the premiere photo editing software available. Topics will include: Creating a Catalog, Organizing, Folders, Collections, Editing workflow, round tripping to Photoshop, Exporting Images for printing, Facebook, Instagram. This course is a lecture / demonstration course. If student has a laptop with software installed they are welcome to bring it and follow along.

Mobil Photography-Getting the most out of your IPhone or IPad

This course will be based on iPhone and iPad , but android phones and tablets are very similar.

Learning to use the built in apps for taking and editing photographs. Using various free and low cost apps to control the camera and more powerful editing capabilities.

Research and Writing Your Family History

Join Chuck and let him show you the way to accurately tracking your family roots.   You will learn Techniques of locating ancestors in Europe including: church records, vital records, court records, immigration and emigration process, reasearch techniques using occupations, using maps in research, and other topics.  This course will be tailored to the needs of the class, depending where their individual ancestors originated.
