Yoga for Everyone: Beginning (Tues & Thurs) Session 1

Open Shop Woodworking

This class is intended for experienced woodworkers only.  Students must have successfully completed Basic Woodworking and Intermediate Woodwoork and be approved by the instructor for addmision or have a demonstarted an ability to complete complete intermediate to expert level work, and must have a demonstrated mastery of shop tools and equipment.  Students will provide their own project plans and materials.  

 

 

 

Beginner East Coast Swing

WEDNESDAYS--4 WKS. September 30th--October 21st Pre-register by September 23rd $95/couple or $50/single Pre-registration / pre-payment is required for all dance classes.

 

 5:45PM-6:45PM BEGINNER EAST COAST SWING--From Big Band to Elvis to Brian Setzer, this class will give you the ability to swing to them all.  Simple and lively, you'll learn the basic and plenty of turns so you'll feel confident getting out on the dance floor.  You will also learn stylistic elements of swing and how connection and communication between partners work. There is a minimum and maximum number for each class. Please be sure to pre-register by September 23rd to ensure the success of your chosen class and to guarantee your place in that class. Thanks. A change of shoes is required for this venue/event to protect the dance floor and to protect suede dance shoe soles. In other words, bring a change of shoes from your street shoes.  --

Dog Obedience: Beginning

Do you have a puppy or dog that is sometimes a little naughty?  Perhaps they just haven't learned yet.  This class is just what you need.   Carolyn is a master teacher helping the handlers learn how to manage their pet and in turn helping the pet behave in a way acceptable to it's owner. 

-A leash and immunization records are required.

 

Due to an outbreak of respiratory infections in dogs we are requiring proof of:

- Parvo Distemper Vaccine

-Kennel Cough Vaccine

-proof of no worms from stool sample

These can be sent to the instructor by your vet, we will contact you with her information after registration.

Intro to Intermediate Woodworking - Shaker End Table

Calendar Sep 30, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 10 weeks

This class is intended to introduce woodworkers who have successfully completed the basic woodworking program, or who have prior woodworking experience, to the tools and techniques utilized in making furniture beyond the basic skills learned in the beginner class. Students will be reacquainted with tools and practices developed in the beginner class, and will be exposed to tools, techniques, and skills which will allow them to take on more complex projects. This is not an entry level class.

All students will build a Shaker style end table according to plans to be provided. Advanced joinery will be demonstrated and practiced, allowing students to develop skills needed for more complex carpentry and furniture making.

With guidance and instruction students will select and acquire the materials necessary to construct the table. Pre-cut packages may be available for purchase by students from Lakes Region Hardwood, 284 Laconia Rd, Belmont, NH 03220. (603) 527-8279.  The price per package will range between $70.00 and $90.00 depending on material availability.

Plans and Material Lists will be provided. 

 

Lab Fee: $25 This fee covers the cost of sharpening and replacing specialized tools, bits and blades used in the completion of the projects. This fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Beginner Cha-Cha

6:45PM-7:45PM BEGINNER CHA CHA--ChaCha is a fun dance with a syncopated rhythm that can be adapted to suit multiple music genres.  This class will teach you the basic (side and progressive), along with some different types of breaks and turns.  Students will gain a blend of new patterns and technique and the opportunity to refine prior knowledge (if any.)  Clear partner communication and connection will also be a focus. There is a minimum and maximum number for each class. Please be sure to pre-register by September 23rd to ensure the success of your chosen class and to guarantee your place in that class. Thanks. A change of shoes is required for this venue/event to protect the dance floor and to protect suede dance shoe soles. In other words, bring a change of shoes from your street shoes. 

Beginner Country Two-Step

6:45PM-7:45PM BEGINNER COUNTRY TWO-STEP--This class will give you the basics and some fancier patterns in traditional Country Two-Step.  So, boots or no boots, grab your partner and get ready for the hoedown. There is a minimum and maximum number for each class. Please be sure to pre-register by September 23rd to ensure the success of your chosen class and to guarantee your place in that class. Thanks. A change of shoes is required for this venue/event to protect the dance floor and to protect suede dance shoe soles. In other words, bring a change of shoes from your street shoes. 

Dog Obedience: Advanced

This class supports dogs and their owners who want to take their training to the next level.  

-Immunization records required.  Carolyn recommends signing up for the Beginner class if you aren't sure.  She will evaluate that class and advance the dog to the next level if it is appropriate.
